Turkey Stuffing Meatloaf

All of the flavours of a roast turkey with stuffing dinner in a super easy meatloaf.

ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 2 teaspoons sage, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried sage)
  • 2 teaspoons thyme, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup dry stuffing mix (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
directions
  1. Melt the butter in a pan, over medium heat, add the onions and celery, and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the rosemary, sage, and thyme, and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds, before turning off the heat and letting it cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix the onions and celery, ground turkey, egg, stuffing mix,parsley, salt and pepper and place in a loaf pan or shape it as desired on a baking pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350F/180C oven until it reaches 165F, about 60 minutes.

Option: Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce sauce.
Option: Add 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.

A quick and easy homemade gravy!

ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter*
  • 3 tablespoons flour (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or chicken stock, or beef broth)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional) (gluten-free for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • salt and pepper to taste
directions
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it simmer until it just starts to turn a light brown.
  2. Sprinkle in the flour, mix well, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring.
  3. Add the broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage, mix well, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer until it thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Option: * Use roast drippings instead of butter!
Option: Use bacon grease instead of butter!
Option: For a thicker gravy, add 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon flour.
Option: For a thinner gravy, remove 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon flour.
Option: Stir 1 tablespoon butter into the gravy after removing from heat!
